Outdoor bullet camera captures 1080p video at 30fps with a 2.8-12mm varifocal lens and 72 IR LEDs for 190ft night vision
The Bluecctv HD72 is an HD-SDI bullet camera built for outdoor monitoring. It uses a Sony 2.1 Mega Pixel CMOS sensor to deliver 1080p resolution at 30fps over standard coaxial cable. The housing carries 72 infrared LEDs for night vision and a vari-focal lens adjustable between 2.8mm and 12mm. Installation is simplified by HD-over-coax transmission via a BNC connector.
The integrated IR illumination reaches up to 190ft in darkness, suitable for large yards, parking areas or building perimeters. Two video outputs are provided — HD-SDI for high-definition recording and an analog TV-out selectable between NTSC and PAL for legacy monitors. On-board OSD with a cable-mounted joystick allows local adjustment of DSS, AGC, BLC and 3DNR without a separate controller. The fixed 12V supply and single-sensor design mean the camera cannot cover ultra-wide angles or support multi-sensor panoramic views.
The adjustable 2.8-12mm lens is the specification that determines whether this camera fits the scene. At the wide end it captures a broad overview; at the tele end it narrows to identify faces or plates at distance. Buyers who need a fixed wide-angle lens, motorised zoom or a focal range extending beyond 12mm should select a different model.
