  • Resettable PTC fuse removes the need to replace blown fuses

12 V DC power distribution for nine cameras

This Bluecctv distribution box delivers 12 V DC across nine independent channels with a total capacity of 5 A. Each channel is rated for 1.1 A, making it suitable for multi-camera CCTV installations. The fuse-free design uses resettable PTC protection so there are no fuses to replace after a fault.

Thermals noise and power draw

The unit operates passively with no fan, so it adds no audible noise to the installation. Power draw scales with the connected cameras up to the 5 A limit, and the PTC devices reset automatically once an overload is cleared.

Questions about this item

How do I wire the nine camera channels to the distribution box and what is the common mistake?

Connect each camera to one of the nine screw terminals; the common mistake is exceeding the 1.1 A per channel limit, which trips the resettable PTC fuse.

What maintenance will the resettable PTC fuse need over time?

The fuse-free design requires no fuse replacements; the PTC resets automatically after an over-current event, so only periodic connection checks are needed.
