Smart Bluetooth 5.0 Thermometer

This wireless sensor monitors temperature and humidity for greenhouses, humidors, instrument cases and camera storage. It connects to the free Sensor Blue app on Android 4.3 or iPhone 4s and later. One phone can pair with up to 100 sensors simultaneously. The compact white unit runs on a replaceable CR2477 battery lasting roughly one year.

Bluetooth 5.0 range and data limits

The Bluetooth 5.0 link reaches 35 metres in open air; walls and obstacles will reduce this distance. Readings refresh once per second and the sensor stores a log entry every ten minutes for up to 100 days. Data pushes to the app automatically when the device comes back within range. CSV export is available after a free account registration.

Accuracy and alert headroom

A Sensirion sensor delivers temperature accuracy within ±0.5 °C and humidity accuracy within ±5 %. The app displays minimum and maximum values and highlights readings that exceed your preset range in red. An onboard buzzer also sounds when conditions drift outside the set limits. This covers most storage monitoring needs; users requiring tighter tolerances or Wi-Fi connectivity will need a different class of instrument.
