Handle Braces for Large Floor Sweeps

The Boardwalk BWK119 is a metal brace that reinforces the handle on commercial floor sweeps to prevent breakage during heavy use. It fits sweeps from 24 to 48 inches wide and is suited for janitorial staff and facility managers who need longer handle life.

Simple Bolt-On Installation

Rust-resistant plated parts connect quickly using the included hardware, so no special tools are required beyond a basic wrench or screwdriver. The most common issue is misaligning the bracket holes with the handle, which can strip threads if forced; check alignment before tightening fully.

Verify Sweep Width and Handle Profile

Measure the sweep head to confirm it falls within the 24 to 48 inch range before ordering. The brace mounts to a standard handle diameter, so ensure your existing handle is straight and undamaged where the bracket will clamp.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the BWK119 brace is properly installed on my floor sweep?

The metal brace should sit flush against the handle and the rust-resistant plated hardware should lock tightly without wobble when the sweep is pushed across the floor.

What components are included with the BWK119 and what must I supply separately?

The package contains the brace and all mounting hardware; you only need to provide a compatible 24-to-48-inch floor sweep handle.

Should I select the BWK119 for a 24-inch sweep or a 48-inch sweep?

The BWK119 fits the full 24-to-48-inch range, so one model covers both sizes.
