18-Inch Clip-On Dust Mop Frame

The Boardwalk BWK1418 is an 18-inch wide by 5-inch deep frame built for bare-floor dust mopping. Zinc-plated, rust-resistant 1/4-inch black wire with rounded ends gives a sturdy, lightweight structure for commercial cleaning crews and facility maintenance teams.

Replacing Worn or Bent Clip Frames

Swap this frame in when an existing clip-on frame warps, corrodes or loses its grip on the mop head. The jump is worth it if the current frame no longer holds the head flat against the floor or if rust stains are transferring to surfaces during use.

Fits Standard Clip-On Handles and 18x5 Mop Heads

The frame accepts a clip-on handle sold separately and matches 18-by-5-inch dust mop heads. Rounded wire ends reduce snagging on baseboards and furniture legs, while the zinc plating protects the wire in damp storage areas.

Questions about this item

What width of dust mop head fits the 18-inch BWK1418 frame?

The frame is built for an 18 x 5 inch mop head, so any standard 18-inch wide clip-on refill will sit securely on the zinc-plated wire.

How does the clip-on handle attach to the BWK1418 frame, and what is the common mistake?

Slide the compatible clip-on handle into the frame’s built-in clips until they snap; the step users miss is pressing both sides fully home so the rounded wire ends lock.

When should the zinc-plated wire frame itself be replaced?

Replace the frame if the 1/4-inch black wire bends, the zinc coating flakes away exposing bare metal, or the clip sockets no longer hold the handle firmly.
