A 2-port DisplayPort KVM switch shares one 4K 60 Hz monitor and three USB 2.0 peripherals between two computers, switched by button or remote
The BONAEVER KVM switch lets you control two computers from a single DisplayPort monitor and three USB 2.0 peripherals such as a keyboard, mouse and scanner. It is aimed at users who need to share one display and input set between a pair of PCs or laptops without unplugging cables.
Two switching methods are provided: a button on the unit itself and an external remote controller for desk-side toggling. The package includes two DisplayPort cables and two USB cables so the link between each computer and the switch is ready to connect out of the box. Keyboard hotkey switching is not supported.
The device draws power from the attached USB connections and contains no moving parts, so it adds no audible noise to the workspace. Power consumption is limited to what the host ports supply, and the aluminium housing dissipates the small amount of heat generated during normal use.

The switch uses DisplayPort and caps at 3840×2160 at 60Hz, with backward compatibility for lower resolutions.
Each computer needs one DisplayPort and one USB connection; the monitor uses one DisplayPort; three USB 2.0 devices plug into the front. Two DP cables and two USB cables are included.
Connect the included cables between the KVM and both computers, attach the monitor and USB devices, then power on. Users often forget to plug the USB cables into each computer, so keyboard and mouse sharing does not work.
