Shares four USB 2.0 peripherals between two computers with one-button switching and driver-free operation up to 480 Mbps
This BONAEVER switch connects four USB peripherals to two host computers with a single button press. It suits home-office workers and small-studio operators who share a keyboard, mouse, printer or scanner between a pair of machines. The unit requires no software drivers and draws power from the host USB ports, adding an optional micro-USB socket only for high-draw devices.
All traffic passes through a USB 2.0 interface capped at 480 Mbps, so bulk endpoints such as external hard drives or high-resolution webcams will not reach their native throughput. The switch is driver-free across Windows 10 through XP, Mac OS, Linux and Chrome OS, but the 2.0 PHY remains the hard ceiling for every connected device regardless of host capability.
Four downstream ports stay physically attached while the button toggles logical ownership between the two upstream ports; only one computer controls the peripherals at any moment. Users who need simultaneous access from both machines, or who require USB 3.x or 10 Gbps speeds for storage arrays, will find this topology and bandwidth insufficient.

You can connect up to four USB devices such as a keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner or flash drive and share them between two computers with a single button press.
The USB 2.0 link runs at up to 480 Mbps, which is more than enough bandwidth for standard peripherals like keyboards, mice, printers and scanners without noticeable lag.
The switch uses USB 2.0, so high-speed storage such as external SSDs will be capped at 480 Mbps, while keyboards, mice, printers and other standard peripherals work at full speed.
