AI camera module for Jetson Nano and Pi CM 3/3+
This 8-megapixel camera module uses the IMX219 sensor and is built for the NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer Kit and Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3 or 3+. It adds infrared night vision when paired with external IR LEDs. The board measures 25mm by 24mm and includes four screw holes for secure mounting. It ships new without the developer kit or compute module.
160° diagonal field of view at 3280 × 2464
The lens provides a 160 degree diagonal angle of view with a 3.15mm focal length and an F2.35 aperture. The 1/4-inch CMOS sensor captures stills and video at 3280 by 2464 pixels while keeping distortion below 14.3 percent. This wide perspective suits face recognition, road mark detection and licence plate recognition workloads.
3.3V output for IR LEDs with compact low-heat design
The module supplies a 3.3V power output to drive infrared or fill-flash LEDs for night vision. Its small footprint and passive construction generate minimal heat and no audible noise during normal operation. Power draw stays low, making it suitable for embedded AI projects that run continuously on limited power budgets.

Questions about this item
What does the 3280 × 2464 resolution mean when the IMX219 sensor is running on a Jetson Nano?
The sensor delivers 8 megapixel still frames at 3280 × 2464 pixels, giving enough detail for face recognition or licence-plate reading in AI projects.
How does the CSI-2 interface limit the 160° field of view in practice?
The CSI-2 link carries the full 160° diagonal view at 3280 × 2464 without cropping, so the wide angle is preserved in every captured frame.
What mounting holes and board size are needed to fit the 25 mm × 24 mm module?
Four screw holes on a 25 mm by 24 mm PCB allow direct attachment to Jetson Nano or Compute Module carrier boards.
