8 MP network camera for IP surveillance

The BOSCH NDE-8504-R is a dome-style network camera built for IP surveillance systems that need 8 megapixel resolution. It connects by cable and fits installations where a fixed dome form factor is preferred. The unit supports both colour and monochrome imaging to suit changing light conditions.

Thermal performance and power profile

The camera operates over a standard wired network link without active cooling fans, so it runs silently in typical indoor or sheltered outdoor positions. Power is delivered through the same cable connection used for data, keeping the installation simple and the heat output low during continuous recording.

Build quality and daily mounting

A rugged dome housing protects the CMOS sensor and the varifocal lens that ranges from 3.90 mm to 10 mm with 2.6x optical zoom. The single RJ-45 port handles both network traffic and power, while the compact dome shape allows discreet ceiling or wall mounting in corridors, lobbies or retail spaces.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the FLEXIDOME IP dome and connect the RJ-45 cable?

The dome fastens to a ceiling or wall bracket with the supplied screws; the RJ-45 network cable plugs directly into the camera's network port for a wired connection.

Which parts of the NDE-8504-R will need replacement over time?

The CMOS image sensor and the varifocal lens assembly (3.90 mm to 10 mm) are the primary optical components that may require service after extended operation.

What limits recording duration at 3840 x 2160 resolution?

Continuous 8 MP capture at 3840 x 2160 is constrained by available network bandwidth and the H.265 / H.264 / MJPEG encoder throughput; storage capacity on the recorder or NAS becomes the practical limit.
