Indoor 1080p mini-dome for IP surveillance

The Bosch NIN-50022-A3 is a fixed indoor network camera built for professional security installations. It delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution through a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor with day/night operation and progressive scanning. Power options include PoE 802.3af or 12 V DC, and video connects via a single RJ-45 port. The white mini-dome housing fits discreetly into office, retail or light-industrial ceilings.

Motorised varifocal lens and dual-stream compression

The 3.0–10.0 mm motorised zoom lens lets installers set the exact field of view remotely during commissioning. H.264 and MJPEG streams run simultaneously, so live monitoring and recording can use different quality settings. A memory card slot provides local edge storage when the network is unavailable. Two-way audio with a built-in microphone supports intercom or alarm verification without extra cabling.

Upgrade from fixed-lens analog or basic IP domes

Replacing older analog cameras removes the need for separate coaxial runs and DVR ports, while the varifocal lens eliminates the guesswork of fixed focal lengths. The jump is worthwhile when remote zoom adjustment, PoE simplicity or dual-codec flexibility are required. Buyers needing built-in infrared illumination or outdoor-rated housings should look at other models in the range.

Questions about this item

Will the NIN-50022-A3 integrate with my existing PoE switch that only supports the 802.3af standard?

Yes, the camera is rated for PoE Class 802.3af, so it will negotiate power correctly with any switch compliant with that standard.

How can I verify the motorised zoom and focus are calibrated correctly after mounting the NIN-50022-A3?

Log into the web interface, use the live view to adjust zoom between 3.0 mm and 10.0 mm, and confirm autofocus sharpness at each focal length.

Does the NIN-50022-A3 ship with a 12 V DC power supply or must I order one separately for non-PoE installations?

The box contains the camera and mounting hardware only; a 12 V DC adapter is not included and must be purchased separately if PoE is unavailable.
