Bosch Autodome 700 PTZ Camera

The Bosch VG5-723-ECE2 is a pendant-mounted PTZ surveillance camera designed for IP-based security networks. It delivers 28x optical zoom with 12x digital zoom and supports NTSC video format. The unit provides wired network connectivity via RJ-45 for integration into existing infrastructure.

Suited for indoor and weather-resistant outdoor

This camera serves operators who need automated motion tracking and intelligent object following across wide areas. It is not intended for buyers requiring wireless deployment or installations without structured cabling. The pendant form factor also limits use where surface or wall mounting is preferred.

Dual H.264 and M-JPEG streaming with wide dynamic

Quad streaming handles simultaneous live viewing and recording at different quality levels. Sodium vapour white balance restores accurate colour under street lighting. The 28x optical range covers broad scenes, though extreme distance identification may exceed the zoom headroom.

Questions about this item

What network infrastructure is needed for the RJ-45 video output on the VG5-723-ECE2?

A wired Ethernet network with an RJ-45 switch or router port is required to carry the IP video stream from the camera.

Can the 28x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom on this Autodome 700 work with an existing analog DVR?

No, this camera uses Network IP signal output via RJ-45, so it connects to an NVR or IP-based system rather than an analog DVR.

How do I verify the quad video streaming is active after installing the VG5-723-ECE2?

Log into the camera interface and confirm simultaneous H.264 and M-JPEG streams are running at the configured resolutions and frame rates.
