Mid-back box arm chair

The BOSS B629M is a mid-back box arm chair finished in mahogany with black Caressoft vinyl upholstery. It has a fixed seat height of 17.5 inches and fixed arms at 25 inches. The four-leg wood base contains no casters or gas lift. Rated for 275 lb capacity, it suits reception, guest or dining use.

Fixed-height seating for waiting areas

This chair suits offices that need durable, stackable-style seating without adjustment mechanisms. The Caressoft material resists wear and cleans with a damp cloth. Buyers who want pneumatic height change, tilt tension, seat-depth slide or casters for mobility should look at something else. The fixed dimensions also limit fit for very tall users.

Assembly required with optional ganging

The chair ships unassembled and needs basic tools to attach the seat to the mahogany frame. Optional ganging kit B6GC, spacer table B6ST-M and corner table B6CT-M each include their own hardware. Common issues are misaligned bolt holes on the wood legs and over-tightening screws into the vinyl, which can tear the upholstery.

Questions about this item

Does the chair need any existing furniture or floor protection to stay stable on a hard floor?

The chair stands on four mahogany legs with no casters, so it rests directly on the floor; a rug or felt pads are optional but not required for stability.

Can the fixed 25-inch arm height clear a standard 29-inch desk or table apron?

With arms at 25 inches high and the seat at 17.5 inches, the arms sit several inches below a typical 29-inch desk, allowing the chair to slide underneath.

How can I confirm the chair is assembled correctly and safe to use?

Verify all bolts are tight, the four mahogany legs sit evenly without wobble, the black Caressoft upholstery is smooth, and the chair supports weight up to the 275 lb rating.
