Executive high-back chair

The BOSS Office Products B9479-BK is a new executive chair finished in black with a classic high-back silhouette. It measures 42 H x 30 W x 26 D and uses 8-way hand-tied coil construction for the seat. Hand-applied antique brass nail-head trim adds a traditional decorative detail.

Suited for traditional executive settings

This chair suits buyers who want a formal look with upright locking and pneumatic gas-lift height adjustment. It is not for users who need adjustable lumbar support, a mesh back for airflow, or a synchro-tilt mechanism with multiple lock positions.

Seating capacity and daily use

The coil-sprung seat and sturdy frame provide consistent support for standard office hours at a desk. The fixed dimensions mean it fits a defined footprint, but taller users may find the back height limiting for full head support during extended recline.

Questions about this item

Does the B9479-BK chair arrive fully assembled or will I need to attach the base and gas lift myself?

The chair requires assembly; you will attach the black base, pneumatic gas lift, casters and backrest using the hardware supplied in the carton.

Will my existing 30-inch wide desk clearance accommodate the B9479-BK without blocking drawers or legroom?

At 30 inches wide and 26 inches deep the chair fits a standard 30-inch desk footprint, leaving enough knee space for most users.

How can I verify the 8-way hand-tied coil seat and antique brass nail-head trim are properly installed after setup?

Press the seat — it should feel uniformly firm with no sagging — and run a finger along the back edge to confirm each brass nail head is seated flush and evenly spaced.
