Executive desk shell for standalone or grouped use

The BOSS N189-M bow front desk shell provides the core worksurface for an executive suite. It functions as a complete stand-alone desk or integrates with matching group accessories. A rich warm Mahogany finish covers the laminate surface with 3 mm edge banding. Overall dimensions are 71 in. W by 41 in. D by 29 in. H.

Sustained load capacity for daily equipment

The frame is rated to support 250 lbs. of distributed weight across the full surface. This capacity covers monitors, printers, paperwork and typical desktop accessories during continuous daily use. No additional reinforcement or wall attachment is specified in the product data. The bow front profile maintains the same load rating as a rectangular equivalent.

Laminate construction with standard desk height

The 29 in. working height matches common office seating and allows straightforward chair pairing. Laminate surfaces resist routine scratches and spills and clean with standard office products. Edge banding protects the perimeter from impact during normal traffic. No grommets, cable channels or pre-drilled accessory mounts are described in the specifications.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 71 in. wide desk shell generate when used all day?

The desk shell has no moving parts or power supply, so it produces no noise or heat during use.

What other components must I already own for the 250 lb. capacity desk to function as a workstation?

You will need a separate pedestal, return or credenza for leg support and storage, as the bow-front shell ships without them.

Will the cherry laminate finish match older mahogany furniture I plan to keep alongside the 41 in. deep shell?

The shell uses a rich warm mahogany laminate with 3 mm edge banding, so colour consistency with existing mahogany pieces will depend on their age and finish.
