One-Finger Stapling for Light Office Tasks

The Bostitch 1136 uses spring-powered PaperPro technology to staple up to 20 sheets with 80% less force than a standard lever stapler. A soft non-slip grip allows comfortable one-finger or palm operation. It ships loaded with 210 staples and includes a built-in remover plus hidden staple storage. The green plastic body stands horizontally or vertically to fit tight desks.

Ideal for Home, School and Low-Volume Desk Work

Suits anyone who staples small stacks occasionally and wants minimal hand effort. The 180-degree opening adds tacking and light crafting utility. Not for users who regularly join thick reports beyond 20 sheets, need heavy-duty metal construction, or require a long-reach throat for booklet binding.

Check Staple Size and Desk Footprint Before Buying

Verify that 1/4-inch leg staples match your existing supply, as the magazine is sized for the included 210 count. The unit measures 8.5 by 2.5 by 7.75 inches, so confirm space for either orientation. No external power or special driver is required — simply load and press.

Questions about this item

What staple size does the 1136 require for its 20-sheet capacity?

The 1136 uses standard 1/4-inch staples; the box includes 210 staples so you can start stapling immediately.

Will the built-in remover on the 1136 handle staples from my older heavy-duty stapler?

Yes, the push-style remover works like a standard staple puller and removes common office staples from documents or bulletin boards.

How do I confirm the spring mechanism on the 1136 is delivering the claimed 80% easier stapling?

Press the handle with one finger — if it drives a staple cleanly through 20 sheets without jamming, the spring is performing as designed.
