Portable Battery Power

This Bostitch BPS4-PINK sharpener runs on four AA batteries so it works anywhere without a wall outlet. The pink plastic housing weighs .29 kilograms and measures 7.5946 by 10.6934 by 15.0114 centimetres. It accepts both graphite and colour pencils for classroom or office tasks. A safety switch stops the motor when the shavings tray is removed.

Upgrade From Manual Sharpeners

The electric motor delivers stall-free operation that hand-crank models cannot match during repeated use. HCC cutter technology extends blade life four times longer than standard cutters. The oversized shavings bin holds thin shavings so you empty it far less often. This unit replaces any sharpener that needs constant cleaning or frequent blade changes.

Light Duty Capacity

Designed for light use, it handles everyday pencils one at a time with consistent points. The compact footprint fits a desk corner yet the tray capacity reduces interruptions during a busy session. Heavy-volume users will find the tray fills faster than a commercial unit. It is not built for continuous high-throughput sharpening.

Questions about this item

What batteries does the BPS4-PINK sharpener need to run?

It runs on four AA batteries, which are not supplied with the unit.

How do you make the safety switch let the motor start?

The shavings tray must be fully seated; the tamper-proof switch blocks operation if the tray is removed.

When will the cutter on this sharpener need replacing?

The HCC cutter is rated for four times the life of a standard blade, so replacement depends on how heavily you sharpen graphite or colour pencils.
