1/4" TS Mono Audio Splitter

This Boxwave adapter converts a single 6.35 mm male TS mono plug into two 6.35 mm female sockets. It suits musicians, engineers and hobbyists who need to duplicate a mono signal from instruments, mixers or patch bays. The pack contains two identical splitters for multi-point setups.

TS mono signal limitation

The splitter passes a single tip-sleeve mono channel to both outputs, so both destinations receive the identical signal. It cannot separate left and right channels, carry a balanced line or combine two sources into one input. Users needing stereo or balanced routing require a different adapter type.

Dual-output headroom

Each splitter handles one source and two destinations without active electronics, adding negligible insertion loss for typical line or instrument levels. It runs out of headroom when the source impedance cannot drive the combined load of both connected devices, causing level drop or high-frequency roll-off.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the single adapter or the two-pack?

The listing supplies two splitters in one package, so you receive both at once.

How does the TS mono wiring affect the signal when I plug this into my mixer?

The tip-sleeve mono layout carries one unbalanced channel, so a stereo source will be summed to mono at the split.

What does the 6.35 mm connection limit in a typical audio chain?

The 6.35 mm TS interface passes analogue mono audio only and does not carry balanced or digital signals.
