10-piece 3.5 mm TRRS balun kit

This pack supplies ten adapters that convert a 3.5 mm stereo TRRS plug or jack to a four-screw terminal block. Five male and five female connectors let you build custom audio-video wiring without soldering, using stranded or solid-core wire and a small screwdriver.

Replaces soldered TRRS breakout cables

Instead of hand-soldering flying leads to a 3.5 mm plug, you terminate each conductor under a captive screw for a secure, reusable connection. The change is worthwhile when you need rapid reconfiguration, field-repairable links, or a tidy panel-mount interface for cameras, intercoms or CCTV audio feeds.

Suits installers building custom AV looms

Technicians who assemble balanced or unbalanced audio-video runs on site will appreciate the gold-plated contacts and tool-free termination. Buyers who need a pre-moulded cable assembly, a different connector type, or a single-unit purchase should look at other options.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.5mm TRRS plug need a specific panel cutout or mounting hole?

The adapter uses a standard 3.5mm TRRS jack that fits any panel or enclosure cut to that diameter; no special mounting hardware is included.

How do I attach wires to the four screw terminals without soldering?

Strip each stranded or solid-core wire, insert it into the appropriate terminal, and tighten the small screw with a screwdriver; the pack includes five male and five female units for custom jigs.

Will the gold-plated contacts need cleaning or replacement over time?

Gold plating resists oxidation, so routine cleaning is not required; if a connector becomes damaged, simply swap in another from the ten-piece set.
