Car Camera Adapter Kit

This Boxwave set contains two adapters that convert a four-pin M12 male connector to an RCA AV male plug with a trigger wire. It is designed for installers linking RCA cameras or monitors to four-pin DVR or backup-camera systems.

Straightforward Plug-In

Each adapter connects directly without soldering or crimping, using the existing four-pin and RCA sockets on the equipment. The moulded housings resist cracking during repeated insertion and removal, and the trigger wire follows the standard camera activation circuit.

Dual-Adapter Coverage

With two units in the pack you can wire both a front and a rear camera, or keep a spare for future maintenance. The adapters handle typical composite video signals used in vehicle backup systems, but they do not support digital video formats or multi-channel audio.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the adapter is working after connecting my backup camera?

The monitor should display a clear video feed from the camera immediately after the 4-pin and RCA connections are secured and the trigger wire receives power from the reverse light circuit.

What comes in the package and what extra items are required?

The box contains 2 RCA backup camera adapters; you must supply the RCA-compatible camera or monitor and a 12 V power source for the trigger wire.

Which version should I choose for a standard 4-pin aviation connector?

This adapter is built for M12 4-pin male to RCA AV male connections, matching the common aviation-style plug used on many DVR and backup camera systems.
