RJ45 to Screw Terminal Adapter

The Boxwave RJ45 Male to 8 Pin Screw Terminal Connector links an RJ45 plug to bare wires using screw terminals. It is intended for installers extending Ethernet or CCTV signals over Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat7 cabling without soldering.

PVC-Moulded Body with 568B Wiring

The adapter uses a PVC-moulded housing around pure copper conductors and follows the EIA/TIA 568B wiring standard for structured cabling. A compact form factor protects the contacts during handling and allows the unit to sit in tight junction boxes or camera housings.

Screw Terminals Remove Need for Solder

Only a screwdriver and wire stripper are required to terminate each conductor, reducing installation time on site. The block accepts solid or stranded UTP cores and provides a corrosion-resistant connection for DVR, IP camera or general network extension tasks.

Questions about this item

Does the RJ45 connector follow the EIA/TIA 568B wiring standard?

Yes, the adapter is wired to the EIA/TIA 568B standard for structured cabling, ensuring correct pin-out for network signal transmission.

What physical space is required to mount the screw terminal block?

The unit has an ultra-compact design that fits in tight enclosures; the terminal block accepts stripped UTP wires secured by captive screws.

How is the adapter installed, and which step is often missed?

Strip each conductor, insert into the labelled terminals, and tighten every screw — skipping a screw leaves that pair open and breaks the link.
