Brady M-118-7425 label cartridge

This Brady label cartridge supplies 240 polypropylene labels printed black on white. Each label measures 0.375 in by 1.00 in and uses permanent acrylic adhesive. The roll is designed for thermal transfer printing on Brady BMP41, BMP51 and BMP53 label makers.

Thermals noise and power

Thermal transfer printing applies heat to the ribbon rather than the label, so the cartridge itself generates no operational heat or noise. Power draw is determined entirely by the printer unit. The polypropylene material resists chemicals and low temperatures for indoor durability.

Upgrade path and fit

This cartridge replaces consumed label rolls on compatible BMP41, BMP51 and BMP53 printers. The jump is worth it when labels must withstand chemical exposure or cold environments. It does not suit BMP71 printers or applications needing larger label dimensions.

Questions about this item

How do I load the M-118-7425 cartridge into a BMP41, BMP51 or BMP53, and what step is often missed?

Open the printer cover, insert the cartridge until it clicks, then close the cover. The step often missed is forgetting to remove the protective strip from the ribbon before printing.

Will the permanent acrylic adhesive on these 240 polypropylene labels need replacement, or does the ribbon wear out first?

The cartridge contains both labels and ribbon. After the 240 labels are used, the entire cartridge is replaced; no separate adhesive or ribbon maintenance is required.

What limits continuous printing with the 0.375 in x 1.00 in labels on a BMP71 before I must pause?

The printer’s thermal transfer engine may overheat during long runs, requiring a cool-down pause. The cartridge itself supplies 240 labels per roll.
