SKU CH-PZ8M-83FY5

Portable smart speaker with built-in subwoofer, 12-hour battery and IP57 waterproof rating for indoor and outdoor use

  • True internal subwoofer for deep bass
  • 12-hour battery runtime at moderate volume
  • IP57 waterproof submersible to 1 metre for 30 minutes
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth streaming plus 3.5 mm AUX input
  • Connect up to eight speakers for stereo or multi-room playback

What the Brane X delivers

The Brane X is a new portable speaker that fits a true internal subwoofer into a compact body. Its Repel-Attract Driver cancels internal air pressure to produce deep bass without extra size or power draw. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth streaming plus a 3.5 mm AUX input cover most sources.

Best for streaming and rugged use

Buyers who want multi-room groups of up to eight speakers, voice control via Alexa on Wi-Fi, and IP57 waterproofing for outdoor or poolside use will fit this model. Listeners who need longer than 12 hours of playtime or who rely on wired-only sources without a 3.5 mm jack should look elsewhere.

Subwoofer integration decides fit

The defining spec is the built-in subwoofer enabled by the proprietary force-cancelling driver array. If a single portable unit must deliver sub-bass normally reserved for larger systems, this speaker meets that need. If sub-bass is not a priority, other portable speakers may suffice.

Questions about this item

What do I need to use the Wi-Fi features such as Alexa and multi-room grouping?

A home Wi-Fi network and the Brane mobile app are required to enable Alexa voice control and to link up to eight speakers for stereo or party mode.

Can I connect my turntable that only has a 3.5 mm output to this speaker?

Yes, the built-in 3.5 mm AUX port accepts a standard cable from any compatible turntable or external audio source.

How can I verify the speaker is achieving its rated waterproof protection after I unpack it?

The IP57 rating means the unit can survive submersion in one metre of water for 30 minutes; inspect the seals for damage before any immersion test.
