Brinks 50 mm Brass Padlock

The Brinks 671-50061 is a brass-bodied padlock built for indoor and outdoor security. Its 50 mm body houses a brass pin tumbler cylinder and dual lever locking mechanism. Corrosion-resistant brass makes it suitable for lockers, storage units, garages and tool boxes. A trusted security name since 1859 stands behind the design.

Boron Steel Shackle Cut Resistance

An adjustable Boron steel shackle provides the primary defence against cutting attacks. The shackle material is the single specification that determines whether this lock meets a high-security requirement. Brass construction adds weather resistance without reducing the shackle's hardness.

Buyers Needing Keyed-Alike Convenience

This unit is sold keyed different, so each lock requires its own unique key. Buyers who want one key for multiple padlocks should look at something else. The Proposition 65 notice also flags chemical content for anyone with strict material-safety policies.

Questions about this item

How does the 50mm body size affect what this padlock can secure?

The 50mm brass body provides a solid housing for the internal cylinder and dual lever mechanism, making it suitable for standard hasps on lockers, storage units, garages, and tool boxes.

What does the adjustable Boron steel shackle allow compared to a fixed shackle?

The adjustable Boron steel shackle lets you change its length to fit different hasp thicknesses or chain links while maintaining high cut resistance for heavy-duty security.

What clearance is needed to fit the 50mm brass body and adjustable shackle onto a hasp?

You need a hasp staple large enough to accept the adjustable Boron steel shackle diameter and enough flat surface area to accommodate the 50mm wide brass lock body.
