Purpose & User

This BROMECH BWP counter scale handles commercial kitchen, deli, produce, lab and portion-control tasks. It weighs up to 66 lb in 0.002 lb steps and also reads in kg, g, oz and lb:oz for flexible unit selection. The stainless-steel platform and IP67-rated washdown design suit wet environments and frequent cleaning.

Sustained Operation

A rechargeable lead-acid battery delivers 180 hours of continuous use between charges, and the included 110 V AC adaptor allows mains-powered operation during long shifts. Adjustable feet with a leveling bead keep readings stable on uneven surfaces, while the sealed platform and dual drain holes protect the sensor from moisture ingress.

Setup Checklist

Verify that a 110 V outlet is available for the supplied adaptor if you plan mains-powered use. Confirm the 7.9 by 5.7 by 1.1 inch footprint fits your counter space and that the 66 lb capacity covers your heaviest items. Ensure the 0.002 lb resolution meets the precision needed for your portioning or counting workflow.

Questions about this item

How much power does the BROMECH BWP draw when running all day?

It runs on a rechargeable lead-acid battery giving up to 180 hours of continuous use, or from the included 110 V AC adaptor.

What must I already own for this scale to work out of the box?

Nothing extra is required — the AC adaptor and rechargeable battery are both included in the package.

Will the 0.002 lb resolution still read accurately if I keep using my older 1 g increment scale alongside it?

Yes, this model displays in 1 g or 0.002 lb steps, so its finer resolution simply gives more detail than a 1 g scale.
