Magenta XXL Cartridge for MFC-J985DW

This genuine Brother ink cartridge belongs to the INKvestment Super High Yield XXL series. It is designed for the Brother MFC-J985DW printer and delivers magenta output for colour documents and photos. The single pack suits home offices or small businesses that print regularly in colour.

Simple front-loading installation

The cartridge slides into the front-access ink bay of the MFC-J985DW without tools. The printer recognises the chip automatically and updates the ink-level display. A common issue is forgetting to peel the protective film from the air vent before inserting the cartridge, which can prevent ink flow.

Verify printer model and colour slot

Confirm that your device is the Brother MFC-J985DW before ordering, as this cartridge is not compatible with other models. Check that the magenta slot is the one needing replacement, since the printer uses separate cartridges for each colour. The dye-based ink formulation matches the original specifications for this printer.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the LC20EMS cartridge is printing correctly after installation?

Run a nozzle-check or test page from the MFC-J985DW control panel; magenta blocks should appear solid and streak-free, confirming the dye-based ink flows properly.

What comes in the box and is anything else needed to start printing?

The single pack contains one LC20EMS magenta cartridge only; the printer itself and paper are required separately.

Should I choose the LC20EMS XXL cartridge or a different yield for my MFC-J985DW?

The LC20EMS is the super high-yield XXL option rated at 1200 pages; standard or high-yield versions would give fewer prints per cartridge.
