Mobile direct-thermal label printer

The Brother PocketJet 8 PJ-862 is a portable direct-thermal printer that produces monochrome output without ink or toner. It connects via USB or Bluetooth and prints at 13.5 ppm with a 203 x 200 dpi resolution. The unit weighs 1.34 lb and measures 1.2" x 10" x 2.2", designed for mobile label printing on A4, A5, Letter or Legal media. Power comes from a rechargeable battery or the included adapter.

Field workers needing on-demand labels

This printer suits mobile professionals who require single-sheet or roll labels up to Legal size while away from a desk. It is not suited for buyers who need colour output, multi-page document printing, or continuous high-volume label rolls that exceed the portable form factor.

Direct-thermal monochrome print method

The defining specification is the direct-thermal engine that creates images on heat-sensitive media without consumables other than the paper itself. This determines media compatibility, archive life and running cost, so verify that your labels or receipts are direct-thermal rated before purchase.
