This SFP module provides a 1 Gbps link over multi-mode fibre at 850 nm. It is coded for full Aruba Networks compatibility and meets MSA standards so it initialises identically to an OEM transceiver in routers, switches or servers. The LC duplex connector supports runs up to 550 m.

Thermals, noise and power in normal use

The transceiver operates across a commercial temperature range of 0 to 70 °C with no moving parts, so it adds no audible noise to the chassis. Digital optical monitoring is built in, allowing the host system to track temperature, voltage and optical power in real time. Power draw stays within the standard SFP envelope for 1 Gbps optics.
