3.5mm Gold-Plated Coupler Pair

This BUCIER 739713970002 pack contains two 3.5mm female-to-female audio adapters with gold-plated contacts. They join two standard 3.5mm male cables to create a longer run or convert a male-to-male cable into a male-to-female extension. The knurled barrel improves grip for easy insertion and removal. Each unit weighs roughly .01 kilograms.

Three-Pole Only Limitation

These couplers accept three-pole (TRS) 3.5mm plugs but do not support four-pole (TRRS) connectors that carry a microphone signal. Headsets with inline mics or smartphone headsets using TRRS plugs will lose microphone functionality or fail to seat correctly. The adapter is strictly a passive signal pass-through for stereo audio.

Simple Plug-In Installation

No tools or drivers are required; push each male plug into the female ports until seated. The main issue arises when users inadvertently connect a four-pole plug, resulting in no microphone path or intermittent contact. Ensure both cables are three-pole before joining them.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the single adapter or the 2-pack for extending my headphone cable?

The listing includes two 3.5mm female-to-female couplers so you can join two cables at once or keep a spare.

Will the gold-plated contacts on the 3.5mm coupler noticeably improve my audio quality?

Gold plating resists corrosion to maintain a clean signal path, but the adapter itself adds no amplification or processing.

Does the 3.5mm female-to-female interface support microphone and inline remote signals?

The adapter handles 3-pole stereo only, so 4-pole headsets with mic or remote functions will not pass those extra signals.
