This 50 mm PCIe 3.0 x1 riser extends a motherboard x1 slot so low-profile cards such as M.2, Wi-Fi, FireWire, USB or sound adapters can be mounted away from the board. The 36-pin fully shielded link delivers up to 8 Gbps and remains backward compatible with PCIe 2.0 and 1.0 devices.

What to verify before ordering

Confirm the host slot is a PCIe x1 connector and that the target card operates at x1 electrical speed; the female end accepts x4, x8 or x16 cards but they will run at x1 bandwidth only. The cable does not support PCIe 4.0 features, so 4.0-only cards will not function.
