8-Port RCA AV Switch for Legacy Consoles

This BUCIER selector connects up to eight composite video sources such as VCR, Wii, Xbox, DVD, PS2 or cable box to a single television input. Manual push-button switching selects the active device without unplugging cables. The metal enclosure houses eight sets of three RCA inputs and one set of outputs. No external power supply or software driver is required for operation.

Suits Multi-Source Retro Setups.

Buyers with several legacy devices that only offer composite AV outputs will benefit from the eight-input capacity and simple front-panel buttons. The unit passes standard-definition video bandwidth of 50 Hz to 5.5 MHz and stereo audio from 10 Hz to 20 kHz. It does not accept HDMI, component, S-Video or digital audio connections, so systems requiring those interfaces must use a different solution.

Tool-Free Desktop Installation with Manual Switching

Place the box near the display, plug each source into the numbered RCA inputs and run a single output cable to the TV. The switch draws power from the video signal itself, so no mains adapter is needed. Common issues include loose RCA plugs causing colour loss or audio hum, and accidental button presses changing the active source during use.

Questions about this item

Do I need eight sets of composite AV cables to connect all my devices to the BUCIER 8-Port RCA AV Switch?

Yes, each of the eight inputs requires a separate three-RCA cable carrying composite video plus left and right audio, and the single output needs one more cable to reach the TV.

Will the BUCIER 4330143097 pass the 5.5 MHz video bandwidth and 20 kHz audio range from my older VCR and PS2 without degradation?

The switch is rated for 50 Hz to 5.5 MHz video bandwidth and 10 Hz to 20 kHz audio frequency response, matching the composite outputs of legacy consoles and VCRs.

After wiring everything, how can I confirm the BUCIER selector is passing a clean 1.0 Vp-p video signal to my TV?

Switch to each input in turn; a stable, correctly coloured picture with no rolling or excessive noise indicates the 0.8–1.0 Vp-p video level is being maintained through the 75-ohm path.
