Cat8 40Gbps 25ft flat cable

This 25-foot Cat8 Ethernet cable delivers up to 40Gbps throughput at a 2000MHz rating. The white flat profile measures only 0.11in thick for easy routing along walls and corners. Gold-plated RJ45 connectors and S/FTP shielding suit indoor and outdoor installations.

Practical limits of the Cat8 standard

Cat8 is specified for 40Gbps over a single 25-foot run; longer channels drop to lower speeds. The 2000MHz bandwidth supports 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T signalling, but the standard does not guarantee 40Gbps beyond this length. PoE power delivery works across the full length without extra supply.

25ft capacity and headroom

At 25 feet the cable comfortably handles 40Gbps gaming, streaming and office traffic with crosstalk suppression. Beyond this distance headroom shrinks and the link negotiates down to 25Gbps or 10Gbps. Builders needing runs over 25ft at 40Gbps should plan for fibre or active equipment instead.
