What this cable does

This BUCIER adapter cable converts a DC 5.5 mm x 2.5 mm female input into a USB-C male output with an integrated PD identification chip. It lets you power or charge USB-C devices such as phones, tablets and laptops from a standard DC barrel power supply.

Power limits and headroom

The cable supports PD profiles of 5 V, 9 V at 1.5 A and 20 V at 5 A, reaching a maximum of 100 W. Input voltage must be between 15 V and 20.5 V and must exceed the device’s power draw; a 90 W source will only run laptops below 90 W such as 86 W or 65 W models. No 12 V or 15 V output is provided.

Build, heat and noise

The connector heads use metal housings with injection moulding and the 17.4 cm cable uses a nylon braided jacket over a pure copper core. Passive construction means no fan noise and negligible heat during normal operation.
