Connects a DisplayPort source to a VGA display at up to 1920x1080 60 Hz with gold-plated connectors and a tangle-free 6-foot male-to-male design
The six-foot male-to-male cord converts a DisplayPort output into an analogue VGA signal so older monitors, projectors or HDTVs can be used with newer laptops and desktops. It is a uni-directional device that only transmits from DisplayPort to VGA and cannot carry audio.
The cable delivers up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz and is backward compatible with 720p, 1600x1200, 480p and 576i timings at 24, 50 or 60 Hz for clear, jitter-free picture quality. Gold-plated connectors ensure stable signal transmission.
A flexible, tangle-free jacket keeps the cable manageable on a desk or in a bag during daily connection and disconnection. The 96.1 g weight adds minimal strain to ports during typical use.
Because the adapter only converts DisplayPort to VGA, it cannot serve buyers who need to send a VGA source to a DisplayPort display or who require bidirectional switching. It also lacks audio passthrough, so separate audio cabling is necessary for sound.

Plug the DisplayPort male end into your computer's DP output and the VGA male end into the monitor's VGA input. The cable is uni-directional; it will not work if you try to send a VGA signal to a DisplayPort display.
The gold-plated connectors resist corrosion, so no routine maintenance is required. Replace the cable only if the connectors become physically damaged or the signal degrades.
The cable supports up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz. Higher resolutions or refresh rates are not supported, so that ceiling appears first under continuous load.
