What this HDMI 2.1 switch does
This BUCIER HDMI 2.1 switch routes three source devices to a single display. It handles 8K resolution at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz with a 48 Gbps bandwidth ceiling. The unit supports HDCP 2.3, HDR, VRR and Dolby Vision for current consoles, streaming sticks and PCs. A compact black enclosure measures 2.4 by 1.68 by .54 inches and weighs .141 kilograms.
Behaviour during extended sessions
The switch draws power from an included USB cable so it stays active during long gaming or viewing periods. Auto-switching can be enabled or disabled, and the last selected input is remembered after a power loss. IR remote and front-panel button give identical control without latency or signal degradation. No active cooling is required for sustained 48 Gbps throughput.
When the upgrade makes sense
This replaces manual cable swapping on displays that offer only one HDMI port. The jump is worth it when you regularly move between a console, a streaming box and a PC at 4K 120 Hz or 8K 60 Hz. Buyers who need more than three inputs or who require HDMI 2.0-only legacy support should look elsewhere. Cables longer than 3 metres may limit the top resolutions.

Questions about this item
Does the BUCIER HDMI 2.1 switch get hot or draw much power when left on all day?
The unit is a small passive switch measuring 2.4 in x 1.68 in x 0.54 in and weighing 0.141 kg. It runs from a USB power cable (adapter not included) and has no fan, so heat and power draw are minimal.
What cables and power source do I need to have already for this switch to work?
You need three HDMI 2.1 or AWG26 cables for the inputs, one for the output, and a USB power adapter for the included USB cable. All cable runs must stay under 3 m or 10 ft for 8K signals.
Will this switch work properly with my older 1080p 144 Hz monitor and PS4?
Yes. The switch is backward compatible with 1080p at 240 Hz and 144 Hz, 720p, and lower resolutions. It supports HDCP 2.3 and works with PS4, PS5, Xbox and other HDMI sources.
