Converts a Lenovo square-tip power supply into a USB-C PD source delivering up to 140 W for phones, tablets and laptops
This adapter converts a Lenovo slim-tip square female connector into a USB-C male plug. It lets owners of compatible ThinkPad chargers power USB-C laptops, tablets or phones without carrying the original brick. The built-in PD identification chip negotiates the correct voltage automatically.
The adapter accepts 15 V to 20.5 V from the square-tip supply and delivers 5 V or 9 V at 2 A, or 20 V at 7 A. No 12 V or 15 V output is provided. Input power must exceed the connected device’s demand; a 90 W brick cannot run a 90 W or 100 W laptop through this unit.
The male USB-C tip plugs directly into the target device while the square female end mates with the existing ThinkPad power brick. One piece in the package keeps cable clutter low for office, studio or travel use. It does not add Thunderbolt or video signalling — only PD charging.

Plug the square female end onto the slim tip of your PD power brick, then insert the USB-C male end into your device; the brick must supply more than 140 W or the adapter will not work.
The built-in PD automatic identification induction chip handles voltage negotiation; if it fails the adapter will stop delivering 5 V, 9 V or 20 V to the connected device.
The adapter caps output at 140 W (20 V at 7 A) and provides no 12 V or 15 V steps, so sustained loads above that level will be rejected.
