Two-pack of USB 3.0 Type-A to Type-C adapters supports 5 Gb/s data transfer and 15 W charging in a compact aluminium shell
This two-pack converts a USB 3.0 Type-A port into a USB Type-C female socket so you can attach Type-C flash drives, phones, hard drives or cables to older laptops, desktops, power banks or chargers. Each unit weighs 17 grams and measures 3.6 by 1.5 by .7 centimetres with a plastic and aluminium-alloy shell in Champagne Gold. The adapter is brand new and intended for users who need a simple gender change without extra cables.
The connector runs at the USB 3.0 standard of 5 Gb/s and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices. Maximum charging output is 15 W at 5 V and 3 A, and a built-in 56 K pull-up resistor helps protect attached equipment. Video signal transmission is not supported, and the adapter cannot work with MagSafe chargers due to incompatible charging protocols. Only one-way charging and data transfer are possible through the single Type-C female port.
Plug the Type-A male end into the host port and insert the Type-C device into the female end; no drivers are required. The compact size fits tightly beside other ports, so check clearance on crowded panels. The one-way design means the Type-C side only receives power or data — it cannot supply power to the Type-A host. MagSafe pads will not charge through this adapter, so a native USB-C power source is needed for that use.

The listing is a 2-pack so you get two adapters — one for a laptop USB-A port and one for a power bank — each weighing 17 grams and measuring 3.6 cm by 1.5 cm by 0.7 cm.
The adapter runs at the USB 3.0 5 Gb/s standard, so a Type-C SSD will transfer at up to that speed; it also supplies up to 15 W at 5 V and 3 A for charging while copying data.
The USB-A 3.0 male connector caps the link at USB 3.0 5 Gb/s and 15 W (5 V / 3 A), and the built-in 56 kΩ pull-up resistor protects attached devices; video output and MagSafe charging are not supported.
