USB-C Bidirectional Switch

This compact switch handles two roles: it can route two USB-C sources to one display or send one source to either of two displays. The selector button toggles the active path instantly, and a red indicator shows which port is live. It ships with the necessary cables and weighs 0.118 kilograms.

48 Gbps Bandwidth Limit

The single decisive specification is the 48 Gbps ceiling, which enables 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz. Cables on either side must stay within 1.5 metres to maintain those rates, and the two outputs never operate simultaneously.

Desktop Users Needing Manual Source Swapping

It suits anyone who regularly moves a laptop between two monitors or shares one screen between two computers and prefers a physical button. Buyers who want both displays active at once, need longer cable runs, or require automatic switching should look at a different solution.

Questions about this item

What does 48Gbps bandwidth mean when I connect this switch to my laptop and monitor?

It carries 8K at 60Hz, 4K at 120Hz or 1080P at 240Hz without compression, provided every cable in the chain supports that speed.

Which USB-C standard does the switch use and what resolution ceiling does it impose?

It is backward compatible with earlier Type-C revisions but caps at 8K 60Hz, 4K 120Hz or 1080P 240Hz when all connected gear meets the 48Gbps requirement.

How much desk space and cable reach do I need to install the unit?

The box weighs .118 kg and each attached Type-C cable must stay under 1.5 m to keep 8K 60Hz or 4K 120Hz stable.
