Dual-output USB-C adapter

This BUCIER adapter adds an HDMI port and a VGA port to a USB-C device, letting you mirror or extend the built-in display onto two external screens. It suits professionals who present on projectors or need a second monitor while travelling. The 15 cm cable keeps the setup compact on a desk or in a bag. Compatible devices include recent MacBook Pro, Samsung Galaxy and ThinkPad models listed by the supplier.

Resolution limits per port

HDMI supports up to 3840x2160 at 30 Hz, while VGA reaches 1920x1080 at 60 Hz when used alone. When both outputs are active simultaneously, each is capped at 1920x1080 at 60 Hz. VGA carries video only; HDMI carries both video and audio. This replaces a single-port dongle when you must drive HDMI and VGA displays at the same time.

Check host video capability

Verify that your USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode or native video output; data-only ports will not drive the adapter. Confirm the monitor or projector accepts the resolutions above and that you have the correct HDMI and VGA cables. The adapter draws power from the host, so ensure the laptop can supply enough current for sustained dual-screen use.

Questions about this item

Will the 15cm cable reach my monitor when the laptop USB-C port is on the side?

The adapter is 15cm long, so it suits side-by-side setups; for longer runs use an HDMI or VGA extension cable.

Does my laptop need a specific USB-C mode to drive both the HDMI and VGA ports at once?

The host must support DisplayPort Alt Mode; the adapter then mirrors or extends to both outputs simultaneously at up to 1920x1080@60Hz each.

How do I clean the aluminium housing and the gold-plated contacts without damaging them?

Wipe the aluminium shell with a dry microfibre cloth; for the USB-C, HDMI and VGA contacts use a soft brush or compressed air only.
