Two-pack VGA-to-RJ45 adapters

This two-pack provides a pair of passive adapters that convert a 15-pin male VGA output to an RJ45 female jack. Each unit lets you run a standard Cat5, Cat6 or Cat7 cable in place of a bulky VGA lead, supporting 720p, 1080i and 1080p signals over distances up to 20 metres.

Installers needing long, thin cable runs

The adapters suit installers who want to pull slim Ethernet cable through conduit or trunking instead of thick VGA cables. They do not suit users who require an active signal booster for runs beyond 20 metres, or buyers who need HDMI, DisplayPort or DVI connectivity.

Passive signal transmission over distance

Because the adapters are passive, signal quality depends on the cable grade and the source device’s drive strength. At the full 20 metre limit some ghosting or softness may appear, especially at 1080p, while shorter runs typically deliver a clean image without external power.
