2 m DisplayPort 1.4 cable

This 2 metre DisplayPort 1.4 cable carries 4K at 120 Hz and 1440p at 240 Hz for high-refresh gaming and professional displays. Locking clips keep the connectors seated during movement or vibration. It suits anyone linking a modern GPU to a compatible monitor. The 6.6 ft length fits typical desk runs without excess slack.

Check your hardware before ordering

Verify that both source and display have full-size DisplayPort sockets and support the DP 1.4 standard. Confirm your graphics driver and monitor firmware are current to enable the advertised refresh rates. Ensure the 2 m reach matches your routing path; longer runs may require an active cable. Buyers needing Mini DisplayPort, USB-C alt-mode or legacy VGA/DVI connections cannot use this cable.

Sustained-load behaviour

The cable maintains the rated bandwidth continuously, so 4K 120 Hz and 1440p 240 Hz stay stable during extended gaming or rendering sessions. Locking clips prevent signal drops caused by connector creep over time. No active electronics are present, so there is no thermal throttling or firmware latency. Users requiring runs beyond 2 m or plenum-rated jacket should consider active or specialised alternatives.

Questions about this item

Does the 2 m DisplayPort 1.4 cable come with any adapters or do I need to buy them separately?

The cable is a straight DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort link; no adapters are included and none are required for standard DP ports.

Should I choose this cable for 4K 120 Hz or 1440p 240 Hz gaming?

It is rated for both 4K at 120 Hz and 1440p at 240 Hz, so either resolution and refresh combination works.

Will the locking clips on this DP 1.4 cable hold a 4K 120 Hz signal without drop-outs?

The locking clips keep the connector seated, maintaining the full 1.4 bandwidth needed for 4K 120 Hz.
