USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable 10 ft

The ESTONE BK-CD2 connects a USB-C source that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode to a DisplayPort 1.4 monitor. It is built for users who need 8K 60 Hz or high-refresh 4K and 2K output from laptops such as MacBook Pro or Thunderbolt 3 and 4 systems. The male-to-male design carries video only and is not bi-directional.

Triple-shielded solid copper conductor

The cable uses triple shielding and solid copper conductors to maintain 32.4 Gbps bandwidth over its 10 ft length. It supports DSC 1.2 for visually lossless 3:1 compression, HDR and HDCP 2.2 without active power draw or fan noise. Signal integrity is preserved for 8K 60 Hz, 4K 144 Hz and 2K 240 Hz modes.

DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode with DSC 1.2

DSC 1.2 compression enables 8K 60 Hz 10-bit HDR within the DisplayPort 1.4 link budget. HDCP 2.2 and 1.4 support allows protected content playback. The bundle includes only the cable; no adapters, drivers or software are supplied. Users must verify that their USB-C port implements DP Alt Mode.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the 10 ft USB-C end to my laptop and avoid the Alt Mode mistake?

Plug the USB-C connector into a port that explicitly supports DisplayPort 1.4 Alternate Mode; the cable will not transmit video from a USB-C port that only carries data or power.

What part of this cable is most likely to need replacement after heavy daily use?

The male-to-male connectors and the triple-shielded jacket are the only moving parts; if the latch on the DisplayPort 1.4 plug or the USB-C shell loosens, the whole 10 ft assembly must be swapped.

At what resolution and refresh rate does the 32.4 Gbps bandwidth limit appear first during sustained gaming?

8K at 60 Hz uses the full 32.4 Gbps pipe, so that combination hits the ceiling before 4K 144 Hz or 2K 240 Hz, which have lower total throughput.
