Fast-acting glass fuse rated 6 A and 250 V AC with a 10 kA interrupt rating at 125 V AC, supplied in a pack of five

  • 6 A fast-acting glass fuse protects circuits up to 250 V AC
  • 10 kA interrupt rating at 125 V AC handles high fault currents
  • 200 A interrupt rating at 250 V AC provides reliable overcurrent protection
  • Compatible with 3823, HFA, HKP, HPF, HRK, HTB, S-8000 fuse blocks
  • Five-piece pack supplies spares for multiple installations

Fast-Acting Glass Fuse Pack

The EATON BUSSMANN AGC-6-R is a 6 A, 250 V AC glass fuse in the standard 1-1/4 in by 1/4 in cylindrical form factor. Each pack contains five fast-acting, non-rejection fuses suitable for low-voltage circuits in automotive, marine, generator or general electrical equipment.

Simple Drop-In Replacement

Installation is a matter of pulling the old fuse from its holder and pressing the new one in; no tools or soldering are required. The only common issue is accidentally fitting a slower-blowing or higher-rated fuse, which can leave the circuit unprotected during a fault.

Interrupt Rating Defines Suitability

The fuse interrupts 10 kA at 125 V AC and 200 A at 250 V AC, so it must only be used where the prospective short-circuit current stays below those levels. Circuits capable of higher fault currents need a fuse with a greater interrupt rating.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the AGC-6-R fuse is intact after installing it in my circuit?

A continuity test across the glass body will show a closed circuit if the 6 A element is still good.

What comes in the package and what must I supply separately?

The box contains five 6 A, 250 V AC glass fuses; fuse blocks from the 3823, HFA, HHN, HK, HKP, HPF, HRK, HTB or S-8000 series are sold separately.

Which interrupt rating should I select for a 250 V AC line?

Choose the version rated 200 A interrupting at 250 V AC, which matches the AGC-6-R specification.
