A 3 A, 250 V AC fast-acting glass fuse in a 1 in × ¼ in cylindrical body, rated for 100 A interrupt at 250 V AC and 10 kA at 125 V AC, supplied as a pack of five
This pack contains five EATON BUSSMANN AGX-3 glass fuses rated at 3 A and 250 V AC with fast-acting characteristics. They suit automotive and general electrical circuits that require a cylindrical rejection-type fuse. The AGX series fits compatible fuse blocks such as the 3823, HFA, HHN, HK, HKP, HPF, HRK, HTB and S-8000 series. Buyers needing a different current rating or a non-rejection fuse should select another product.
The fuses carry an interrupt rating of 100 A at 250 V AC and 10 kA at 125 V AC, limiting fault energy in the protected circuit. Their glass body provides visible element inspection without generating significant heat during normal operation. No active cooling or noise is produced by the fuse itself. Installers must ensure the holder and wiring match the voltage and interrupt requirements.
Under sustained overcurrent the fast-acting element opens quickly to protect downstream components, rather than tolerating a prolonged overload. The single-element construction gives a repeatable response each time the fuse operates. After opening, the fuse must be replaced; it cannot be reset like a circuit breaker. Users should verify that the circuit's normal inrush currents do not exceed the fuse's time-current curve.

Insert the 1 in x 1/4 in cylindrical glass body into a 3823, HFA, HHN, HK, HKP, HPF, HRK, HTB or S-8000 series block until fully seated; the step often missed is verifying the rejection feature aligns so the fast-acting element is correctly oriented.
The fast-acting glass fuse is a single-element, non-resettable device; once it interrupts a fault at 100 A / 250 V AC or 10 kA / 125 V AC it must be replaced with another AGX-3 or equivalent 361, 362, GGX fuse.
The 3 A continuous current rating is reached before the 100 A at 250 V AC or 10 kA at 125 V AC interrupt ratings, so the fuse opens on sustained overcurrent rather than waiting for a short-circuit fault.
