  • Pack of five supplies multiple replacement fuses

What this fuse does

The Bussmann S500-1-R is a fast-acting glass fuse rated at 1 A and 250 V AC with a 35 A interrupt rating. It comes in a pack of five cylindrical units measuring 20 mm by 5 mm for line protection in compatible equipment.

Who should use these

Technicians maintaining devices that specify a 1 A fast-acting glass fuse in the 5x20 mm format will find direct replacements here. Buyers who need a different amperage, voltage rating, slow-blow characteristic or a ceramic body should look at other series.

Capacity and limits

Each fuse carries 1 A continuously and breaks safely up to 35 A at 250 V AC. The five-pack covers multiple replacements or spares for the same circuit. Circuits requiring higher current, higher voltage or a higher interrupt rating exceed what this model provides.

Questions about this item

What fuse holder or block series accepts the 20 mm × 5 mm cylindrical glass body of these S500 fuses?

The compatible fuse block series is HTB, which fits the 20 mm length and 5 mm diameter of each fuse.

Will the 35 A interrupt rating at 250 V AC protect legacy equipment that only expects a lower breaking capacity?

Yes, the 35 A interrupt rating at 250 V AC exceeds the requirement of older gear rated for lower breaking capacity.

How can I confirm each fuse is intact after installation without specialised test gear?

Visually inspect the glass tube for a continuous filament; a broken element indicates the fuse has operated.
