Ceramic time-delay fuse rated 1.60 A at 250 V AC with 1.5 kA interrupt capacity, 5-pack
The Bussmann S505-1.6-R is a 1.60 amp ceramic fuse rated for 250 volts AC with a 1.5 kA interrupt rating. It suits technicians and maintenance teams needing reliable overcurrent protection for control circuits and small equipment. The time-delay characteristic handles brief inrush currents without nuisance opening. Each pack contains five fuses for stock replenishment.
The ceramic body withstands the heat generated during a fault interruption up to the rated 1.5 kA at 250V AC. In normal operation the fuse runs cool and silent, adding negligible resistance to the circuit. No active cooling or noise consideration is required for this passive component. The time-delay element tolerates temporary overloads while still clearing sustained faults.
This fuse measures 20 mm long by 5 mm diameter and fits standard 5 × 20 mm fuse holders such as the HTB series. It is not a rejection-type fuse, so it will not suit holders that require a keyed or high-break-capacity cartridge. Buyers needing a different diameter, length, or indicating feature must select another part number.

Align the fuse ends with the HTB block clips and press straight in until both caps seat fully; the step often missed is verifying that each cap clicks into the clip so the 1.60 A time-delay element makes solid contact.
The fuse is single-element and non-replaceable; after it interrupts a fault at 1.5 kA you simply discard the blown unit and fit a new fuse from the 5-pack.
The time-delay characteristic allows brief overloads, but sustained current at or above 1.60 A will cause the element to melt and open the circuit, which is the intended protective limit.
