Standard-Duty PVC-Coated Tarp

The Buyers Products 3009094 tarp is a black, standard-duty cover made from PVC-coated polyester. It measures 6 ft 6 in by 18 ft with a 10 mil thickness and a fabric weight of 12 oz/sq yd. Brass grommets spaced 24 in apart run along the double-stitched, web-reinforced edges for secure tie-down points.

Replaces Light-Duty Poly Tarps

This tarp upgrades from lighter polyethylene sheets that tear quickly in wind or sun. The PVC coating and reinforced construction make the jump worthwhile when you need a cover that survives repeated outdoor exposure without shredding. It is not suited for buyers who need a completely waterproof barrier or a heavy-duty rating for sharp loads.

Holds Shape in Long-Term Outdoor Use

UV-resistant material prevents the fabric from becoming brittle after weeks in direct sunlight. The double-stitched seams and web-reinforced edges distribute stress evenly so corners do not pull out under sustained wind load. Breathable construction avoids trapped condensation during extended coverage periods.

Questions about this item

What size grommets and spacing does the 3009094 tarp use for tie-downs?

The tarp has brass grommets with a 3 in inside diameter spaced every 24 in along the edges.

How should the double-stitched, web-reinforced edges be secured to avoid tearing?

Thread rope or bungee cords through each brass grommet rather than tying directly to the hem so the reinforced edge takes the load.

When will the 10 mil PVC-coated polyester need replacement under regular outdoor use?

Replace the tarp once the coating wears through, the fabric frays at the grommets, or UV damage makes the material brittle.
