Towing D-Ring for Heavy Loads

This forged-steel D-ring is built for cargo control and tie-down applications on trailers, plows and towing equipment. It accepts a 5/8 in diameter ring and carries a gross vehicle weight capacity of 16000 lb. The unfinished surface allows the user to apply paint or coating that matches the host vehicle.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The working load limit is 6130 lb, which governs continuous or repeated tension rather than a momentary peak. Forged construction distributes stress through the ring and the 3 5/8 in wide bracket without welded seams that could fatigue. Unfinished steel can be inspected visually for deformation after each heavy haul.

Capacity Decides Fit

The 16000 lb GVW rating is the single figure that determines whether this D-ring matches the trailer or implement being secured. If the loaded weight exceeds that value, the ring is undersized; if it falls well below, a lighter ring may suffice. No other specification overrides this limit.
