G 1/4in Extension Coupler for Custom Loops

The Bykski G 1/4in male/female extension coupler adds 7.5mm of usable thread length to any standard G 1/4in fitting. It is intended for custom liquid-cooling builders who need extra clearance between components or between a component and a radiator. The brass body with diamond knurling allows hand-tightening without tools. This part fits any G 1/4in threaded port in a non-aluminium loop.

Sustained Use in a Sealed Loop

Under continuous circulation the brass coupler remains mechanically stable and does not introduce flow restriction beyond the added length. The internal finish limits coolant compatibility; the manufacturer states it may not be suitable for DI water based coolants and is not compatible with PrimoChill Opaque and VUE coolant series. Builders planning long-term fills should verify coolant chemistry before assembly.

Installation Notes and Common Issues

The coupler threads directly into a female G 1/4in port and accepts a male G 1/4in fitting on the opposite end, requiring only hand pressure thanks to the knurled grip. The most frequent issue is using it with incompatible coolants, which can degrade the internal finish and cause particulate contamination. Overtightening with tools can also damage the threads, so hand-tight plus a slight turn is recommended.
