Converts SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals to HDMI with 1080p@60 output in a compact metal enclosure
The BG-3GSH converts SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals to HDMI for display on consumer screens. It handles 1080p at 60 Hz through a BNC input and an HDMI output. The metal enclosure measures 80 mm by 41 mm by 25 mm and weighs 150 g. Operation follows SMPTE 425M, 424M, 292M and 259M-C at 2.970 Gbit/s, 1.485 Gbit/s and 270 Mbit/s.
Production teams who need a compact way to view SDI feeds on HDMI monitors will find the BG-3GSH straightforward. It also converts SMPTE 425M Level B to Level A at 1080p 50, 59.94 and 60 4:2:2 10-bit. Buyers who want 4K, HDR or multi-channel audio conversion should look elsewhere.
The converter provides exactly one BNC connector for SDI and one HDMI connector for the display. If your workflow requires multiple SDI inputs, loop-through outputs or SDI pass-through, this unit will not meet that need.

Connect the BNC cable to the SDI input and the HDMI cable to the output, then apply power; the step often missed is confirming the source outputs a supported SMPTE standard such as 425M or 292M before expecting a picture.
The metal enclosure has no user-serviceable parts; keep ventilation clear and cables strain-relieved, and replace the external power supply if it fails, as the converter itself has no internal fan or battery to service.
The 2.970 Gbit/s processing ceiling is the hard limit; sustained 1080p@60 operation stays within this rate, so thermal throttling or signal degradation from the metal housing is the practical constraint rather than bandwidth.
