3x optical zoom PTZ camera for small rooms

The BZBGEAR BG-BPTZ-3XU is a pan tilt zoom camera with 3x optical zoom and a 1/2.9 inch CMOS sensor. It captures 1080p video at 30 frames per second over USB 2.0 type A. The unit is designed for huddle rooms and smaller spaces needing wide-angle coverage.

Check USB port and mounting space before ordering

Verify your computer has an available USB 2.0 type A port for the plug-and-play connection. The camera measures 156.8mm by 112.6mm by 139.5mm and weighs 1KG, so confirm the mounting surface can support it. Ensure a 12V 0.25A power source is available for the 2.5W maximum draw.

Replaces fixed webcams when remote framing is needed

This camera upgrades from static webcams by adding motorised pan from -170° to +170° and tilt from -30° to +30° with 255 preset positions. The 3x optical zoom lets you frame participants without digital quality loss. The jump is worth it for teams that regularly adjust camera angles during meetings in rooms up to 85° field of view.

Questions about this item

What accessories are included with the BG-BPTZ-3XU and what must be purchased separately?

The package contains one camera unit. A 12 V 0.25 A power supply, USB 2.0 type A cable and any RS-232 or RS-485 control wiring are not included and must be sourced separately.

Should I choose the 3x or 10x optical zoom version for my room?

The 3x model provides an 85° field of view suited to huddle rooms and wide-angle shots. The 10x model narrows to 66° for larger spaces where subjects sit farther away.

What does the 1080p@30 Hz rating mean when the camera is connected to a PC?

Over USB 2.0 the camera delivers 1920×1080 at 30 fps or 25 fps with H.264, H.265 or MJPEG compression, plus lower resolutions down to 320×176 for bandwidth-limited calls.
